Lines

I hate lines. I also hate stupid people, but that isn't the topic of this editorial. Maybe I will write an editorial on stupid people also. So, back to the topic at hand...I hate lines.

I think it all stems from the fact that I hate being in close proximity with a large amount of people. Quite honestly, I think that stems from the fact that people are all around you...they are staring at your back, studying and deciding whether or not they like your hair or your shirt or whether not your butt is in peak physical condition. Mines not...stop looking. But when I go into a restaurant, I like to be seated facing the door...or atleast have my back in the corner. I hate not being able to see who is coming, and also having that sensation that there are people staring at the back of my head.

So back to lines once again. Not only are lines inconvenient, but they are incredibly annoying. I don't think that I'm being pretentious when I say that I don't want everyone else's sweaty bodies rubbing up against mine or even coming close to mine. it really is gross when you consider that some people don't take regular showers. Now does this mean that I am going to ostracize someone from being my friend if they don't shower regularly...no. It just means that I'm not going to be wrestling with them anytime soon.

A friend of mine told me the other day that she had no idea what I was thinking. She couldn't understand why I wanted to be a "rockstar," but i couldn't stand people or being around people. Well, obviously I will not have a problem when people come up to me and say, "Hey, can I have your autograph." I will however have a problem when people come to me in mass amounts and shout in unison, "Give us your underwear?" Anyway, the fact remains, that performing in front of a crowd of 3,000 is much, much different than standing in a crowd of 3,000.

So, to conclude...I guess it is not so much the lines that I hate, but the standing in the lines that I hate. So if I don't have to have contact with people...I don't hate them so much. Thanks for stopping by...I know I sure enjoyed it.
